Mostly bowling and walking

We are enjoying our life in South Devon.

Walking, bowling, exploring, going to festivals and enjoying the beaches!

My bowling has continued in ernest. I play for South Hams indoor bowls club indoor and have played twice for Devon. My first match was against Gloucestershire up in the Cotswold Bowls Club in Stroud, which was interestingly my old playing club. That was a fun game as we were playing against several of the guys that were my team mates whe I played for Gloucestershire previously. We won on our rink by quite a big score but unfortunately Devon lost overall by just 5 shots.

My second game for Devon was against Somerset, played at Taunton Deane bowls club. This game we won by a few shots (cant remember score) but apparently ints a fixture we haven’t won for several years!!

In the Summer I played my first season outdoors in Devon for Totnes.

In an effort to find the correct quality of bowling to match my ability and give me the challenges I need I’ve decided that next Summer season I will be transfering my alliances to …..?

This year I’ve entered:

• the Bowls England National over 55 singles championship.

• the English Riviera bowls tournament.

• the M.A.C.E. trophy.
