Summer Bowls

2023 Outdoor Season I have been playing at Totnes Bowls Club.

I have been playing skipper in the Mid Devon League A-side that plays in division 3. We are currently in 2nd position with 3 matches to play of the season so have reasonable hopes of being promoted to the second division next season.

I am also skipping in the Over55 league with doesn’t have demotions or promotions but there is a play-off at the top of each league to pronounce the champions. We are currently in 4th position but only 3 points away from being in 2nd, which would be a play off position. Need to dig out a few good wins in the next couple of weeks.

As a result of my performances for Totnes and in through my success in the English Riviera Open Bowls Tournament, I have been poached. In the past couple of weeks I’ve had some discussions with some clubs who play in the Premier League. I am certain that I need to play at a higher level of competition and this is recognised. I have yet to decide where I am going but I think its fair to say that I won’t be staying where I am now.
